The Couzinet 70 was a 1930s French three-engined commercial monoplane built by Société des Avions René Couzinet founded by René Couzinet. The Couzinet 70 was developed originally as a mail plane for use of Aéropostale's South Atlantic service. The aircraft was a low-wing monoplane with a fixed tailwheel landing gear. The aircraft was powered by three Hispano-Suiza 12Nb inline piston engines. The two wing mounted engines could be accessed in flight through tunnels in the wing. After route-proving in 1933 the aircraft was modified and re-designated the Couzinet 71 and entered service with Aéropostale in May 1934. (courtesy of Wikipedia) Depending on the time frame looked at the aircraft may have been a natural metal, silver, white or linen color. I can find "expert opinion" that states all 4. This is the old Heller kit that was re-boxed as a Buzco kit. It was not an easy build as most of the joins were pretty rough and needed a lot of sanding and putty. The clear parts didn't fit the openings and were not used. The windows were masked from the inside with Scotch tape. After painting the tape was poked out and pulled out with tweezers. Testors clear glue was used to make new windows. The decals were old and despite being sprayed with decals sealer before using fell apart. They were pieced together as best as I could. The size actually works out to about 1/76 scale. The real one: Mine:
