This is the very old early issue 1/72 Aurora Lear Jet Commander. The problem is that Lear had nothing to do with it. The later boxings did have the word "Lear" removed. This boxing is an Aero Jet Commander 1121.
First flying on January 27, 1963, as the Aero Jet Commander 1121. The first production aircraft flew in November 1964. The first customer delivery was January 11, 1965.
Shortly thereafter, Aero Commander was acquired by North American Rockwell. The Jet Commander created a problem, since Rockwell already had an executive jet of its own design, the Sabreliner, and could not keep both in production because of antitrust laws. Therefore, the company decided to sell off the rights to the Jet Commander, which were purchased by Israel Aircraft Industries in 1968 and produced as the 1123 Westwind.
