The Versuchs Kampffahrzeug, testing/prototype vehicle 45 ton design # 1 by Porsche was the official designation for an unsuccessful heavy tank prototype produced by Porsche in Germany in 1942. It was not selected for production and the Henschel design to the same specification was produced as the Tiger I. It is believed 10 were completed and an additional 90 hulls were converted to Ferdinand/Elephant tank destroyers. I bought this as a built model on ebay. The seller mistakenly listed it as a Tiger tank. It is very nicely built. The bright lights for the photos make it look like the decal film is showing more than it really is. I bought a VK4502 (P) Vorne from the same seller. It received a lot of damage in the mail, but I'm slowly restoring it.
