This is a restoration of the old 1979 Revell issue Ferrari 308 GTB. There is a small lever under the front that is used to raise and lower the headlights. The fit of body parts is good, but not up to today's standards. The 308 was the same car that was used for the Magnum P.I. series. At the end of each season the previous seasons car was auctioned off. A new Ferrari was used for the new season. Besides this car not being a Targa top, you may notice small differences in this GTB and the GTS used in Magnum; this is a Euro spec car. The Ferrari 308 GTB was a mid-engined sports car manufactured by Ferrari in the 1970s-1980s. They made up the lower end of the company's range. The 308 replaced the Dino 246 in 1975 and was updated as the 328 in 1985. The 1975-1977 bodies were made of glass-reinforced plastic, the 1977-1985 bodies were steel.
