It took me a while to get used to the looks of these, but now I really like them. I bought this bunch of 4 and thought I post them all together. All I did was install the mirrors, put a black wash on the wheels and a dot of flat black paint on the tip of each exhaust stack.

I have been asked why I have this web page on-line. It is pretty simple. Because I want to. I don't make any money from it. I do use it when I'm shopping for models and diecasts to add to the collection. I just log in and see if I already have one. It saves me a lot of duplicate purchases since my collection is over 2000 items. Only about 2/3 of them are on here, but I add some of the older ones from time-to-time.
The other reason is to let you look at whatever interests you and I hope you enjoy the time spent here.

I bought this as a built model from Bill Ayer. In 1967 White Motor Company started the Western Star division as White Western Star with a new plant at Kelowna, British Columbia, sharing headquarters with White in Cleveland, Ohio. White Western Star trucks in that era typically used cabs from its sister company, Autocar. Western Star production was moved to Ogden, Utah, but the brand was not included in the 1981 sale of White's truck business to Volvo, instead being sold to Bow Valley Resources and Nova Corporation, each owning 50%. In 1991, Western Star Trucks was purchased by the owners of the Western Star Australian subsidiary, Terry Peabody and Bob Shand. In 2000, Western Star was purchased by DaimlerChrysler, becoming part of the Freightliner Trucks division. In 2002, Western Star production was moved to a plant in Portland, Oregon. In May 2015, the Daimler Truck North America plant in Cleveland, North Carolina, began to build 4700 and 4900 models, as well as assemble all new semi tractor 5700XE models.

I do like the Mclaren cars. These die cast are pretty nice. The McLaren 720S is the second all-new car in the McLaren Super Series, replacing the 650S beginning in May 2017. The 720S was launched at the Geneva Motor Show on 7 March 2017 and is built on a modified carbon monocoque, which is lighter and stiffer than the previous model, the 650S.
