I built these 1963 convertibles during a slump. I saw two identical snap kits on the shelf for half price. So, I just had to have them.
They were both purple with the new large wheels. I just sat down and started on the purple one. It just needed a little extra detailing. Well, before you know it I had the second one open and decided to paint it.
So the blue one was started. Now I have a pair, new school and old school.
Remember when Corvettes had hubcaps?
These snap kits were a great slump buster. If you don't need to have an engine showing they make for a fun project that will look good on the shelf.
The stick on Corvette emblems are not that great. I peeled them off and am looking for some decals to replace them.
